Gog:

i.e. to cover; surmount; top; roof; extension; mountain, [Strong's H1463], "The sonsª of Joel;ª Shemaiahª his son,ª Gogª his son,ª Shimeiª his son,ª" {1Ch 5:4} + "Sonª of man,ª setª° thy faceª against¹ Gog,ª the landª of Magog,ª the chiefª princeª of Meshechª and Tubal,ª and prophesyª° against¹ him, ... And say,ª° Thus¹ saithª° the Lordª GOD;ª Behold,¹ I [am] against¹ thee, O Gog,ª the chiefª princeª of Meshechª and Tubal:ª" {Ezk 38:2-3} + "Therefore,¹ sonª of man,ª prophesyª° and sayª° unto Gog,ª Thus¹ saithª° the Lordª GOD;ª In that¹ dayª when my peopleª of Israelª dwellethª° safely,ª shalt thou not¹ knowª° [it]?" {Ezk 38:14} + "And thou shalt come upª° against¹ my peopleª of Israel,ª as a cloudª to coverª° the land;ª it shall be¹ in the latterª days,ª and I will bringª° thee against¹ my land,ª that¹ the heathenª may knowª° me, when I shall be sanctifiedª° in thee, O Gog,ª before their eyes.ª" {Ezk 38:16} + "And it shall come to pass¹ at the same¹ timeª whenª Gogª shall comeª° against¹ the landª of Israel,ª saithª° the Lordª GOD,ª [that] my furyª shall come upª° in my face.ª" {Ezk 38:18} + "Therefore, thou¹ sonª of man,ª prophesyª° against¹ Gog,ª and say,ª° Thus¹ saithª° the Lordª GOD;ª Behold,¹ I [am] against¹ thee, O Gog,ª the chiefª princeª of Meshechª and Tubal:ª" {Ezk 39:1} + "And it shall come to pass¹ in that¹ day,ª [that] I will giveª° unto Gogª a placeª there¹ of gravesª in Israel,ª the valleyª of the passengersª° on the eastª of the sea:ª and it¹ shall stopª°¹ the [noses] of the passengers:ª° and there¹ shall they buryª°¹ Gogª and all¹ his multitude:ª and they shall callª° [it] The valleyª of Hamongog.ª" {Ezk 39:11} + "And the passengersª° [that] pass throughª° the land,ª when [any] seethª° a man'sª bone,ª then shall he set upª° a signª byª it, till¹ the buriersª° have buriedª° it in¹ the valleyª of Hamongog.ª" {Ezk 39:15}

Gog and Magog, "Andª shall go outª° to deceiveª° the¹ nationsª whichª are inª the¹ fourª quartersª of the¹ earth,ª Gogª andª Magog,ª to gather²° them² togetherª°¹ toª battle:ª the¹ numberª of whomª [is] asª the¹ sandª of the¹ sea.ª" {Rev 20:8}, belong to a different time to those spoken of in Ezekiel.
