- Gehazi:
- "Then he saidª° to Gehazi,ª Gird upª° thy loins,ª and takeª° my staffª in thine hand,ª and go thy way:²°¹ if¹ thou meetª° any man,ª saluteª° him not;¹ and if¹ anyª saluteª° thee, answer¹ him not¹ again:²° and layª° my staffª upon¹ the faceª of the child.ª ... And Gehaziª passed onª° beforeª them, and laidª°¹ the staffª upon¹ the faceª of the child;ª but [there was] neither¹ voice,ª nor¹ hearing.ª Wherefore he went againª° to meet²°¹ him, and toldª° him, saying,ª° The childª is not¹ awaked.ª°" {2Kg 4:29-31} + "But Gehazi,ª the servantª of Elishaª the manª of God,ª said,ª° Behold,¹ my masterª hath sparedª°¹ Naamanª this¹ Syrian,ª in not receivingª°¹ at his handsª¹¹ that which¹ he brought:ª° but,¹¹ [as] the LORDª liveth,ª I will runª° afterª him, and takeª° somewhatª of¹¹ him. ... The leprosyª therefore of Naamanª shall cleaveª° unto thee, and unto thy seedª for ever.ª And he went outª° from his presenceª¹ a leperª° [as white] as snow.ª" {2Kg 5:20-27} + "And the kingª talkedª° with¹ Gehaziª the servantª of the manª of God,ª saying,ª° Tellª° me, I pray thee,¹¹ all¹ the great thingsª that¹ Elishaª hath done.ª° ... And it came to pass,¹ as he¹ was tellingª° the kingª¹ how¹ he had restored²° a dead body²° to life,ª°¹¹ that, behold,¹ the woman,ª whose¹¹ sonª he had restored to life,ª° criedª° to¹ the kingª for¹ her houseª and for¹ her land.ª And Gehaziª said,ª° My lord,ª O king,ª this¹ [is] the woman,ª and this¹ [is] her son,ª whom¹ Elishaª restored to life.ª°" {2Kg 8:4-5}
