{1 Kings 1:7} And he conferred 1697 with x5973 Joab 3097 the son 1121 of Zeruiah, 6870 and with x5973 Abiathar 54 the priest: 3548 and they following 310 Adonijah 138 helped 5826 z8799 [him].

And he conferred:
Heb. his words were, "And Absalomª sentª ° for¹ Ahithophelª the Gilonite,ª David'sª counsellor,ª ° from his city,ª [even] from Giloh,ª ¹ while he offeredª °¹ sacrifices.ª And the conspiracyª was¹ strong;ª for the peopleª increasedª continuallyª ° with¹ Absalom.ª" {2Sm 15:12} + "The kingsª of the earthª set² ° themselves,¹ and the rulersª ° take counselª ° together,ª against¹ the LORD,ª and against¹ his anointed,ª [saying]," {Psa 2:2}

Joab:
"Then tidingsª cameª ° to¹ Joab:ª for¹ Joabª had turnedª ° afterª Adonijah,ª though he turnedª ° not¹ afterª Absalom.ª And Joabª fledª ° unto¹ the tabernacleª of the LORD,ª and caught holdª ° on the hornsª of the altar.ª" {1Kg 2:28} + "And Joabª the sonª of Zeruiahª [was] over¹ the host;ª and Jehoshaphatª the sonª of Ahiludª [was] recorder;ª °" {2Sm 8:16} + "Now Joabª [was] over¹ all¹ the hostª of Israel:ª and Benaiahª the sonª of Jehoiadaª [was] over¹ the Cherethitesª °² and over¹ the Pelethites:ª" {2Sm 20:23}

Abiathar:
"And oneª of the sonsª of Ahimelechª the sonª of Ahitub,ª namedª Abiathar,ª escaped,ª ° and fledª ° afterª David.ª ... Abideª ° thou with¹ me, fearª ° not:¹ for¹ he that¹ seekethª °¹ my lifeª seekethª °¹ thy life:ª but¹ with¹ me thou¹ [shalt be] in safeguard.ª" {1Sm 22:20-23} + "And lo¹ Zadokª also,¹ and all¹ the Levitesª [were] with¹ him, bearingª °¹ the arkª of the covenantª of God:ª and they set downª °¹ the arkª of God;ª and Abiatharª went up,ª ° until¹ all¹ the peopleª had doneª ° passingª ° out of¹ the city.ª ... Heb. helped after Adonijah, "And kingª Solomonª answeredª ° and saidª ° unto his mother,ª And why¹ dost thou¹ askª °¹ Abishagª the Shunammiteª for Adonijah?ª askª ° for him¹ the kingdomª also; for¹ he¹ [is] mine¹ elderª brother;ª even for him, and for Abiatharª the priest,ª and for Joabª the sonª of Zeruiah.ª" {1Kg 2:22} + "And unto Abiatharª the priestª saidª ° the king,ª Get² °¹ thee to Anathoth,ª unto¹ thine own fields;ª for¹ thou¹ [art] worthyª of death:ª but I will not¹ at this¹ timeª put thee to death,ª ° because¹ thou barestª °¹ the arkª of the Lordª GOD² ¹ beforeª Davidª my father,ª and because¹ thou hast been afflictedª ° in all¹ wherein¹ my fatherª was afflicted.ª ° ... And the kingª putª °¹ Benaiahª the sonª of Jehoiadaª in his room¹ over¹ the host:ª and Zadokª the priestª did the kingª putª ° in the room¹ of Abiathar.ª" {1Kg 2:26-35}
