thy master's wives:
"Thus¹ saithª ° the LORD,ª Behold,¹ I will raise upª ° evilª against¹ thee out of thine own house,ª ¹ and I will takeª °¹ thy wivesª before thine eyes,ª and giveª ° [them] unto thy neighbour,ª and he shall lieª ° with¹ thy wivesª in the sightª of this¹ sun.ª" {2Sm 12:11} + "And kingª Solomonª answeredª ° and saidª ° unto his mother,ª And why¹ dost thou¹ askª °¹ Abishagª the Shunammiteª for Adonijah?ª askª ° for him¹ the kingdomª also; for¹ he¹ [is] mine¹ elderª brother;ª even for him, and for Abiatharª the priest,ª and for Joabª the sonª of Zeruiah.ª" {1Kg 2:22}

gave thee:
