This place appears to have been situated beyond Jordan; and was probably, as Reland supposes, the same as Debir or Lidbir, "And from Heshbonª ¹ unto¹ Ramathmizpeh,ª and Betonim;ª and from Mahanaimª ¹ unto¹ the borderª of Debir;ª" {Jsh 13:26}.
