The Septuagint has only εκατον ανδπας, one hundred men; and as Saul covenanted for a hundred, as David himself says ("And Davidª sentª ° messengersª to¹ Ishboshethª Saul'sª son,ª saying,ª ° Deliverª ° [me]¹ my wifeª ¹ Michal,ª which¹ I espousedª ° to me for an hundredª foreskinsª of the Philistines.ª" {2Sm 3:14}), that he espoused Michal for a hundred, it is very probable that this is the true reading.
