"And he gatheredª ° an host,ª and smoteª °¹ the Amalekites,ª and deliveredª °¹ Israelª out of the handsª ¹ of them that spoiledª ° them." {1Sm 14:48} + "That¹ the wickedª is reservedª ° to the dayª of destruction?ª they shall be brought forthª ° to the dayª of wrath.ª" {Job 21:30} + "But it shall not¹ be¹ wellª with the wicked,ª neither¹ shall he prolongª ° [his] days,ª [which are] as a shadow;ª because¹ he feareth² ¹ not¹ beforeª ¹ God.ª" {Ecc 8:13}

Havilah:
This Havilah was probably situated in Arabia, and the district of Chaulon may mark the spot. It seems different from that encompassed by the river Pison, one of the rivers of Eden. "The nameª of the firstª [is] Pison:ª that² [is] it¹ which compassethª °¹ the whole¹ landª of Havilah,ª whereª ¹ [there is] gold;ª" {Gen 2:11} + "And they dweltª ° from Havilahª ¹ unto¹ Shur,ª that¹ [is] beforeª ¹ Egypt,ª as thou goestª ° toward Assyria:ª [and] he diedª ° in¹ the presenceª of all¹ his brethren.ª" {Gen 25:18}

Shur:
"And Davidª and his men² ¹ went up,ª ° and invadedª °¹ the Geshurites,ª and the Gezrites,ª and the Amalekites:ª for¹ thoseª [nations were] of oldª ¹ ¹ the inhabitantsª ° of the land,ª as thou goestª ° to Shur,ª even unto¹ the landª of Egypt.ª" {1Sm 27:8} + "And the angelª of the LORDª found¹ her² ° by¹ a fountainª of waterª in the wilderness,ª by¹ the fountainª in the wayª to Shur.ª" {Gen 16:7}
