What meaneth:
"And when Joshuaª heardª °¹ the noiseª of the peopleª as they shouted,ª he saidª ° unto¹ Moses,ª [There is] a noiseª of warª in the camp.ª ... And he said,ª ° [It is] not¹ the voiceª of [them that] shoutª ° for mastery,ª neither¹ [is it] the voiceª of [them that] cryª ° for being overcome:ª [but] the noiseª of [them that] singª ° do I¹ hear.ª °" {Exd 32:17-18}
