Ramathaimzophim:
This ancient town, now called Ramla, is, according to Phocas, about thirty-six miles west of Jerusalem, and, according to modern travellers, about nine miles from Joppa and a league from Lydda, between which it is situated. It is built on a rising ground, on a rich plain, and contains about two thousand families. "And they rose up² ° in the morning² early,ª °¹ and worshippedª ° beforeª the LORD,ª and returned,ª ° and cameª ° to¹ their houseª to Ramah:ª and Elkanahª knewª °¹ Hannahª his wife;ª and the LORDª rememberedª ° her." {1Sm 1:19} + "Whenª the evenª was come,ª ° there cameª ° a richª manª ofª Arimathaea,ª namedª Joseph,ª whoª alsoª himselfª was² ° Jesus'² disciple:ª °¹" {Mtt 27:57}, Arimathea
