Cross Reference JUDGES 20:5 AND THE MEN OF GIBEAH ROSE AGAINST ME AND BESET THE HOUSE ROUND ABOUT UPON ME BY NIGHT AND THOUGHT TO HAVE SLAIN ME AND MY CONCUBINE HAVE THEY FORCED THAT SHE IS DEAD

{Judges 20:5} And the men 1167 of Gibeah 1390 rose 6965 z8799 against x5921 me, and beset y5437 z0 the house y1004 round about 5437 z8799 x853 x1004 upon x5921 me by night, 3915 [and] thought 1819 z8765 to have slain 2026 z8800 me: and my concubine 6370 have they forced, 6031 z8765 that she is dead. 4191 z8799

And the men:
"[Now] as they¹ were making their hearts² merry,ª °¹ ¹ behold,¹ the men² ¹ of the city,ª certain² ¹ sonsª of Belial,ª beset² ° the house² round about,ª °¹ ¹ [and] beatª ° at¹ the door,ª and spakeª ° to¹ the masterª of the house,ª the old² man,² ¹ saying,ª ° Bring forthª °¹ the manª that¹ cameª ° into¹ thine house,ª that we may knowª ° him." {Jdg 19:22}

beset:
"But before¹ they lay down,ª ° the men² ¹ of the city,ª [even] the men² ¹ of Sodom,ª compassedª °¹ the houseª round,² ° both oldª and young,ª ¹ all¹ the peopleª from every quarter:ª ¹ ... Behold¹ now,¹ I have twoª daughtersª which¹ have not¹ knownª ° man;ª let me, I pray you,¹ bring them outª °¹ unto¹ you, and doª ° ye to them as [is] goodª in your eyes:ª only¹ unto theseª men² ¹ doª ° nothing;ª ª for¹ therefore¹ ¹ cameª ° they under the shadowª of my roof.ª" {Gen 19:4-8}

and my concubine:
"But the men² ¹ wouldª ° not¹ hearkenª ° to him: so the manª tookª ° his concubine,ª and brought² ° her forthª ¹ unto¹ them; and they knewª ° her, and abusedª ° her all¹ the nightª until¹ the morning:ª and when the dayª began to spring,ª ° they let her go.ª ° ... Then cameª ° the womanª in the dawningª ° of the day,ª and fell downª ° at the doorª of the man'sª houseª where¹ ¹ her lordª [was], till¹ it was light.ª" {Jdg 19:25-26}

forced:
Heb. humbled, "Then ye shall bring² ° them both² out¹ ¹ ¹ unto¹ the gateª of that¹ city,ª and ye shall stoneª ° them with stonesª that they die;ª °¹ the damsel,ª becauseª ª ¹ she criedª ° not,¹ [being] in the city;ª and the man,ª becauseª ª ¹ he hath humbledª °¹ his neighbour'sª wife:ª so thou shalt put awayª ° evilª from amongª ¹ you." {Deu 22:24} + "In thee have they discoveredª ° their fathers'ª nakedness:ª in thee have they humbledª ° her that was set apartª for pollution.ª ...
