- Gibeah, a city of Benjamin, and the birth-place of Saul, was situated near Rama and Gibeon, according to Josephus, thirty furlongs north from Jerusalem; or, according to Jerome, about two leagues. "And his masterª saidª° unto¹ him, We will not¹ turn asideª° hither into¹ the cityª of a stranger,ª that¹ [is] not¹ of the childrenª¹ of Israel;ª we will pass overª° to¹ Gibeah.ª" {Jdg 19:12}
