Cross Reference JUDGES 13:16 AND THE ANGEL OF THE LORD SAID UNTO MANOAH THOUGH THOU DETAIN ME I WILL NOT EAT OF THY BREAD AND IF THOU WILT OFFER A BURNT OFFERING THOU MUST OFFER IT UNTO THE LORD FOR MANOAH KNEW NOT THAT HE WAS AN ANGEL OF THE LORD

I will not:
As I am a spiritual being, I subsist not by earthly food; and cannot partake of your bounty.

and if:
etc. Rather, "but if thou wilt offer," etc.. unto thee, "But his wifeª saidª ° unto him, Ifª the LORDª were pleasedª ° to killª ° us, he would not¹ have receivedª ° a burnt offeringª and a meat offeringª at our hands,ª ¹ neither¹ would he have shewedª ° us¹ all¹ these¹ [things], nor¹ would as at this timeª have toldª ° us [such things] as these.ª" {Jdg 13:23} + "And buildª ° an altarª unto the LORDª thy Godª upon¹ the topª of this¹ rock,ª in the ordered place,ª and takeª °¹ the secondª bullock,ª and offerª ° a burnt sacrificeª with the woodª of the groveª which¹ thou shalt cut down.ª °" {Jdg 6:26}
