they gave:
"But the fieldsª of the city,ª and the villagesª thereof, they gaveª ° to Calebª the sonª of Jephunneh.ª" {1Ch 6:56}

Hebron:
"And Humtah,ª and Kirjatharba,ª which¹ [is] Hebron,ª and Zior;ª nineª citiesª with their villages:ª" {Jsh 15:54}

a city:
