the priests:
"And they commandedª °¹ the people,ª saying,ª ° When ye seeª °¹ the arkª of the covenantª of the LORDª your God,ª and the priestsª the Levitesª bearingª ° it, then ye¹ shall removeª ° from your place,ª ¹ and goª ° afterª it. ... And Joshuaª spakeª ° unto¹ the priests,ª saying,ª ° Take upª °¹ the arkª of the covenant,ª and pass overª ° beforeª the people.ª And they took upª °¹ the arkª of the covenant,ª and went² °¹ beforeª the people.ª" {Jsh 3:3-6}

stood firm:

all the Israelites:
