they removed:
"And they departedª ° from beforeª ¹ Pihahiroth,ª and passed throughª ° the midstª of the seaª into the wilderness,ª and went² °¹ threeª days'ª journeyª in the wildernessª of Etham,ª and pitchedª ° in Marah.ª" {Num 33:8} + "Speakª ° unto¹ the childrenª of Israel,ª that they turnª ° and encampª ° beforeª Pihahiroth,ª between¹ Migdolª and the sea,ª over againstª Baalzephon:ª beforeª it shall ye encampª ° by¹ the sea.ª" {Exd 14:2} + "But the Egyptiansª pursuedª ° afterª them, all¹ the horsesª [and] chariotsª of Pharaoh,ª and his horsemen,ª and his army,ª and overtookª ° them encampingª ° by¹ the sea,ª beside¹ Pihahiroth,ª beforeª Baalzephon.ª" {Exd 14:9}

Baalzephon:
Calmet supposes this to be the Clysma of the Greeks, and the Kolzum of the Arabians. His learned Editor thinks the true situation of Baal-zephon was some miles more northerly than the present Suez.
