the firstling:
"All¹ the firstlingª malesª that¹ comeª ° of thy herdª and of thy flockª thou shalt sanctifyª ° unto the LORDª thy God:ª thou shalt do no¹ workª ° with the firstlingª of thy bullock,ª nor¹ shearª ° the firstlingª of thy sheep.ª ... Thou shalt eatª ° it within thy gates:ª the uncleanª and the cleanª [person shall eat it] alike,ª as the roebuck,ª and as the hart.ª" {Deu 15:19-22}
