And he:
"And he shall bringª °¹ the bullockª unto¹ the doorª of the tabernacleª of the congregationª beforeª the LORD;ª and shall layª °¹ his handª upon¹ the bullock'sª head,ª and killª °¹ the bullockª beforeª the LORD.ª ... And he shall take awayª ° all¹ the fatª thereof, as¹ the fatª of the lambª is taken awayª ° from the sacrificeª ¹ of the peace offerings;ª and the priestª shall burnª ° them upon the altar,ª according to¹ the offerings made by fireª unto the LORD:ª and the priestª shall make an atonementª ° for¹ his sinª that¹ he hath committed,ª ° and it shall be forgivenª ° him." {Lev 4:4-35} + "All¹ we like sheepª have gone astray;ª ° we have turnedª ° every oneª to his own way;ª and the LORDª hath laidª ° on him¹ the iniquityª of us all.¹" {Isa 53:6}

it is a sin:
