garments:
"And thou shalt makeª ° holyª garmentsª for Aaronª thy brotherª for gloryª and for beauty.ª ... And the curious girdleª of the ephod,ª which¹ [is] upon¹ it, shall be¹ of¹ the same, according to the workª thereof; [even of] gold,ª [of] blue,ª and purple,ª and scarlet,ª ª and fine twined² ° linen.ª ¹" {Exd 28:2-8} + "And he putª ° upon¹ him¹ the coat,ª and girdedª ° him with the girdle,ª and clothedª ° him with¹ the robe,ª and putª °¹ the ephodª upon¹ him, and he girdedª ° him with the curious girdleª of the ephod,ª and boundª ° [it] unto him therewith. ... curious:
The word cheshev, translated curious girdle, simply signifies a kind of diaper or embroidered work, of the same texture as the ephod itself. "And the curious girdleª of the ephod,ª which¹ [is] upon¹ it, shall be¹ of¹ the same, according to the workª thereof; [even of] gold,ª [of] blue,ª and purple,ª and scarlet,ª ª and fine twined² ° linen.ª ¹" {Exd 28:8}
