"And there¹ shalt thou buildª ° an altarª unto the LORDª thy God,ª an altarª of stones:ª thou shalt not¹ lift upª ° [any] ironª [tool] upon¹ them. ... Thou shalt buildª °¹ the altarª of the LORDª thy Godª of wholeª stones:ª and thou shalt offerª ° burnt offeringsª thereon¹ unto the LORDª thy God:ª" {Deu 27:5-6} + "As¹ Mosesª the servantª of the LORDª commandedª °¹ the childrenª of Israel,ª as it is writtenª ° in the bookª of the lawª of Moses,ª an altarª of wholeª stones,ª over¹ which¹ no¹ man hath lift upª ° [any] iron:ª and they offeredª ° thereon¹ burnt offeringsª unto the LORD,ª and sacrificedª ° peace offerings.ª" {Jsh 8:31}
