{Exodus 14:22} And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 went 935 z8799 into the midst 8432 of the sea 3220 upon the dry 3004 [ground]: and the waters 4325 [were] a wall 2346 unto them on their right hand, 3225 x4480 and on their left. 8040 x4480
the children:
"But the childrenª of Israelª walkedª° upon dryª [land] in the midstª of the sea;ª and the watersª [were] a wallª unto them on their right hand,ª¹ and on their left.ª¹" {Exd 14:29} + "For¹ the horseª of Pharaohª went inª° with his chariotsª and with his horsemenª into the sea,ª and the LORDª brought againª°¹ the watersª of the seaª upon¹ them; but the childrenª of Israelª wentª° on dryª [land] in the midstª of the sea.ª" {Exd 15:19} + "And they departedª° from beforeª¹ Pihahiroth,ª and passed throughª° the midstª of the seaª into the wilderness,ª and went²°¹ threeª days'ª journeyª in the wildernessª of Etham,ª and pitchedª° in Marah.ª" {Num 33:8} + "He turnedª° the seaª into dryª [land]: they wentª° through the floodª on foot:ª there¹ did we rejoiceª° in him." {Psa 66:6} + "He dividedª° the sea,ª and caused them to pass through;ª° and he made the watersª to standª° as¹ an heap.ª" {Psa 78:13} + "That led²°¹ them through the deep,ª as an horseª in the wilderness,ª [that] they should not¹ stumble?ª°" {Isa 63:13} + "Moreover,ª brethren,ª I wouldª° notª that yeª should be ignorant,ª° how thatª allª ourª fathersª wereª° underª the¹ cloud,ª andª allª passedª° throughª the¹ sea;ª" {1Co 10:1} + "By faithª they passed throughª° the¹ Redª seaª asª byª dryª [land]: whichª the¹ Egyptiansª assaying² to doª°¹ were drowned.ª°" {Hbr 11:29}
and the waters:
This verse demonstrates that this event was wholly miraculous, and cannot be ascribed, as some have supposed, to an extraordinary ebb, which happened just then to be produced by a strong east wind. For this would not have caused the waters, contrary to every law of fluids, to stand as a wall on the right hand and the left.
a wall:
"And with the blastª of thy nostrilsª the watersª were gathered together,ª° the floodsª° stood uprightª° as¹ an heap,ª [and] the depthsª were congealedª° in the heartª of the sea.ª" {Exd 15:8} + "Was the LORDª displeasedª° against the rivers?ª [was] thine angerª against the rivers?ª [was] thy wrathª against the sea,ª that¹ thou didst rideª° upon¹ thine horsesª [and] thy chariotsª of salvation?ª ... The mountainsª sawª° thee, [and] they trembled:ª° the overflowingª of the waterª passed by:ª° the deepª utteredª° his voice,ª [and] lifted upª° his handsª on high.ª" {Hab 3:8-10} + "For I,¹ saithª° the LORD,ª will be¹ unto her a wallª of fireª round about,ª and will be¹ the gloryª in the midstª of her." {Zch 2:5}
