lamb:
or, kid, The word seh means the young of both sheep and goats, and may be indifferently rendered either lamb or kid. It is evident from "Your lambª shall be¹ without blemish,ª a maleª of the firstª year:ª ye shall take²° [it] out¹ from¹ the sheep,ª or from¹ the goats:ª" {Exd 12:5} that the Hebrews might take either; but they generally preferred a lamb, from being of a more gentle nature. "And he shall bringª°¹ his trespass offeringª unto the LORDª for¹ his sinª which¹ he hath sinned,ª° a femaleª from¹ the flock,ª a lambª or¹ a kidª of the goats,ª for a sin offering;ª and the priestª shall make an atonementª° for¹ him concerning his sin.ª¹" {Lev 5:6} + "Thus¹ shall it be doneª° for oneª bullock,ª or¹ for oneª ram,ª or¹ for a lamb,ªª or¹ a kid.ª" {Num 15:11} + "And Josiahª gaveª° to the people,ªª of the flock,ª lambsª and kids,ªª all¹ for the passover offerings,ª for all¹ that were present,ª° to the numberª of thirtyª thousand,ª and threeª thousandª bullocks:ª these¹ [were] of the king'sª substance.ª¹" {2Ch 35:7}
an house:
The Israelites were divided into twelve tribes, these tribes into families, the families into houses, and the houses into particular persons. "And the LORDª spakeª° unto¹ Mosesª in the wildernessª of Sinai,ª in the tabernacleª of the congregation,ª on the firstª [day] of the secondª month,ª in the secondª yearª after they were come outª° of the landª¹ of Egypt,ª saying,ª° ...
