This should be "put it;" for we find ("And Jacobª rose up earlyª ° in the morning,ª and tookª °¹ the stoneª that¹ he had putª ° [for] his pillows,ª and set it upª °¹ [for] a pillar,ª and pouredª ° oilª upon¹ the top¹ of it.²" {Gen 28:18}) it was only one stone.
