Abimelech:
"But Godª cameª ° to¹ Abimelechª in a dreamª by night,ª and saidª ° to him, Behold,¹ thou [art but] a dead man,ª ° for¹ the womanª which¹ thou hast taken;ª ° for she¹ [is] a man'sª wife.ª °" {Gen 20:3} + "And it came to pass¹ at that¹ time,ª that Abimelechª and Phicholª the chief captainª of his hostª spakeª ° unto¹ Abraham,ª saying,ª ° Godª [is] with¹ thee in all¹ that¹ thou¹ doest:ª ° ... Thus they madeª ° a covenantª at Beersheba:ª then Abimelechª rose up,ª ° and Phicholª the chief captainª of his host,ª and they returnedª ° into¹ the landª of the Philistines.ª" {Gen 21:22-32}

Phichol:
Phichol, as well as Abimelech, "father king," seems to have been a name of office or dignity among the Philistines; for it is not probable that they were the same as are mentioned in the days of Abraham ("And it came to pass¹ at that¹ time,ª that Abimelechª and Phicholª the chief captainª of his hostª spakeª ° unto¹ Abraham,ª saying,ª ° Godª [is] with¹ thee in all¹ that¹ thou¹ doest:ª °" {Gen 21:22} + "Thus they madeª ° a covenantª at Beersheba:ª then Abimelechª rose up,ª ° and Phicholª the chief captainª of his host,ª and they returnedª ° into¹ the landª of the Philistines.ª" {Gen 21:32}).
