Cross Reference GENESIS 2:12 AND THE GOLD OF THAT LAND IS GOOD THERE IS BDELLIUM AND THE ONYX STONE

{Genesis 2:12} And the gold 2091 of that 1931 land 776 [is] good: 2896 there x8033 [is] bdellium 916 and the onyx 7718 stone. 68

Bdellium is a transparent aromatic gum. The onyx is a precious stone, so called from a Greek word signifying a man's nail, to the colour of which it nearly approaches. "And the mannaª [was] as corianderª seed,ª and the colourª thereof as the colourª of bdellium.ª" {Num 11:7}

"And the fourthª rowª a beryl,ª and an onyx,ª and a jasper:ª they shall be¹ setª ° in goldª in their inclosings.ª" {Exd 28:20} + "And the fourthª row,ª a beryl,ª an onyx,ª and a jasper:ª [they were] inclosedª ° in ouchesª of goldª in their inclosings.ª" {Exd 39:13} + "It cannot¹ be valuedª ° with the goldª of Ophir,ª with the preciousª onyx,ª or the sapphire.ª" {Job 28:16} + "Thou hast been¹ in Edenª the gardenª of God;ª every¹ preciousª stoneª [was] thy covering,ª the sardius,ª topaz,ª and the diamond,ª the beryl,ª the onyx,ª and the jasper,ª the sapphire,ª the emerald,ª and the carbuncle,ª and gold:ª the workmanshipª of thy tabretsª and of thy pipesª was preparedª ° in thee in the dayª that thou wast created.ª °" {Ezk 28:13}
